name is Alyson and I have been exploring shamanism since 2006. I
began my training in Glastonbury in 2015, working with Elsa and
www.warriorintheheart.com. I have completed Shamanic Practitioner and Medicine Wheel training
with them and am now a fully qualified shamanic practitioner. I have also been a member of the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids
www.druidry.org for many years, taking an active role in Grove ceremonies that draw on
the Celtic spiritual tradition.
I have chosen the name 'Shamanima' because it combines the words 'shaman' (one who mediates between the visible and the spirit worlds) and 'anima' (Latin: life, soul). When working shamanically, we are not only exploring hidden realities, we are exploring consciousness; our own, and what Carl Jung termed 'the collective unconscious'. Using shamanic techniques, we can gain knowledge, insight and inspiration, and bring about growth and healing, for ourselves and for others.
